I feel greedy.

Every year around this time, my mom asks me "what do you want for your birthday [November 21st] and Christmas?". In anticipation of this question, I have created a 'wishlist'. I swore I would never conform to our materialistic society and do something like this, but I have. I feel greedy.

I wouldn't feel bad about it Sally - for some people (I'm one of em) the way they express their love for others is the giving of gifts - and so it is obviously something your mom enjoys doing for you. No I don't advocate giving gifts beyond your means, or out of guilt, or because someone else expects you to, but sometimes it can be really nice - and sacrificial. And darn it - I love Christmas.

I see there is some running atire on your list. I would love to go for a jog with you as most of my running buddies have bailed on me lately and I am getting bored of the treadmill at school.

There are two treadmills at school and you can definitely join me, but I am getting very tired of them and it's not even Dec.
