one in a million mom

i love my mom. there is no one else like her. i am pretty sure she is the only person who first of all is nervy enough to phone around saskatoon in order to find out if her daughter is 'okay' then somehow leaves the impression with the stranger (aka caro's mom) she reaches as being 'sweet'. last night she told me a story which put her personality in a whole new perspective for me. while attempting to phone my bc dwelling brother, she accidentally used the area code 306 instead of 250. instead of the quick "i'm sorry, i have the wrong phone number" statement, my mom proceed to engage in a 15 minute conversation with the lady she accidentally reached. apparently the poor victim of her call lives in Easten SK, right in the heard of chickpea country. since they were retired farmers, they were quite interested in what the strangers daughter was doing in saskatoon!?! yeah, i love my mom.
