Acronyms!

I wrote an email today that made me realize how many acronyms are used in my field. Can any non-science geeks decipher any of them in this exert?

"I talked to [somebody] this morning and he is willing to let us buy some time on the ABI machine for the SSRs and possibly AFLPs. He said that sequencing for SNPs is best done through PBI as it would end up costing more on his ABI machine. He also said there was a ‘guest’ bench available in his lab where I could work on all the PCRs that will be run on the ABI. The CAPS markers I can run most easily on agarose, probably in 3C17."
