Alas a real post!

I wish people could purr. I think the world would be a much friendlier place if we knew when other people were enjoying themselves. Nobody could put on a fake facade. It would be much easier to find friends too as you would know if people actually enjoy spending time with you. Wouldn't job interviews be so much easier if you knew exactly what everyone thought of you based on the presence and/or magnitude of their purr?

This came up in a conversation with my hair stylist this evening. She though that public places (like restaurants) may be a little too noisy if everyone was purring.

I wonder what the feline purring mechanism is like. Is it something that could be mechanically replicated and inserted in our noses. Would you volunteer to wear a purring mechanism if you were given the opportunity? But now that I think of it, do humans really need purring mechanisms with our keen sense of intuition? Maybe it would help the individual who are lacking in that department.

Wonderful thoughts while studying crop physiology.
